Normally, a friendly chat between two former college buddies is no occasion to talk shop. But with Sachin Warrier and friend Ganesh Raj, it turned out to be a rewarding moment for singer Sachin transform into a music composer for Ganesh’s debut outing Aanandam. The Thattathin Marayathu boy has been scoring music in the ad-world and this will be his film debut. Five full-length songs in addition to the background music are to be handled by Sachin. Not to mention, he will be lending his voice to one of his own compositions too.
“We are always in touch and have been discussing the film for a year and a half. But it was during a random discussion that Ganesh asked me if I could score music for his film and I agreed. He wanted the music to spread a very happy kind of vibe,” says Sachin.
The presence of freshers in the cast only boosted his confidence and enthusiasm to craft music in the best possible way.
Vineeth Sreenivasan’s entry as the producer was not unexpected considering that the director has been friends with him and had associated with him for Thattathin Marayathu, Thira and Jacobinte Swargarajyam. Sachin says Vineeth was there with the team well before agreeing to be a producer. “His association started right from the development stages of the movie script. Later he became the producer of the film. During the phases of final draft and scripting, his inputs and suggestions came to us,” says Sachin.
Vineeth is also there as a lyricist along with Manu Manjith and Anu Elizabeth. Sachin got into the composing job bit by bit from January this year. Having completed the songs, he is now engrossed in creating the background score in Ernakulam. Alongside, audio mixing of the songs is also progressing.
Clearly on cloud nine, he posted on Facebook: “Making music for this film has been one of the most gratifying experiences of my life! Every single name you see on the poster has lots of dreams about this.”
Other than the worlds of film music and jingles, Sachin engages himself in crooning for album music. “When I sense a comfortable feel, I take up album songs. Now, entire crew and I are very excited about AAnandam,” he gushes.
