In between all the big releases there are debutant filmmakers who are trying to come up with fresh ideas. Smart Boys directed by M R Anoop Raj is a comedy film that contrary to the title looks at the life of three lazy youngsters played by Limu Shankar, Maanav and Shamseer Shah along with Noby, Sajin Varghese, etc.
Anoop says, “The story takes a comic look at the life of three youngsters who are friends and start a lot of businesses which do not click due to their laziness. At last, they plan to buy a resort but things get murky with a murder happening. All this is treated through comedy. The female leads are done by Kalpana, Lorraine and Rini Raj.”
Anoop worked as an assistant and has now turned independent and he also has experience doing short films.
