By the end of 2017, it was Mohanlal's transformation that left Malayalis surprised the most.The man is busy with some good projects in his kitty, including the much-talked-about Odiyan. There are also certain reports that he will be seen playing a guest role in the film Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapathakam, directed by Rejish Midhila.
The interesting fact here is that the title Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapathakam has been adapted from the Mammootty-Mohanlal-starrer No.20 Madras Mail. Actor Maniyanpillai Raju plays the character Hitchcock Kanjikuzhi, a novelist who wishes to make his novel Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapathakam into a film.
Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapathakam features Dileesh Pothen and Amith Chakkalakkal in the lead. Rumour has it that Mohanlal will be reprising the role of Tony Kurishingal.
The shoot of the movie is currently progressing at Ernakulam. The movie also features Nedumudi Venu, Shammi Thilakan, Sudhi Koppa in prominent roles.
