Actor Jayasurya and director Ranjith Sankar have been involved in several professional collaborations for films like Punyalan Agarbathis, Su... Su... Sudhi Vathmeekam and Pretham and are also thick friends. They are now taking their professional relationship a notch higher by partnering in a distribution company. Ranjith himself announced this on his social page, “We (Me and Jayasurya) are launching a distribution company named “Punyalan Cinemas”.
The idea behind punyalan cinemas is to release our films and others films which we believe in. Our first release punyalan agarbathis part 2 (title will be announced soon) will reach you on Nov 17th. A humble step into the big ocean of cinema again. Expect all support!”(sic). This should be another fruitful collaboration.
