Tovino turns director

Tovino Thomas will be next seen in the role of an aspiring director in Salim Ahamed’s And the Oscar to. The young actor will romance Anu Sithara in the movie, which will have Siddique, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Salim Kumar in pivotal roles.

And the Oscar to will be Salim Ahmed’s fourth movie after the critically-acclaimed Adaminte Makan Abu, Kunjananthante Kada and Pathemari. The film, which will be shot in Los Angeles, Canada and Chennai, is expected to go on the floors in September.

Since the director is helming a project after a three-year-gap, the movie is one of the most anticipated ones of the year. Tovino also has Theevandi and Oru Kuprasidha Payyan gearing up for release.
