Looks like Malayalam cinema has fallen back on the right track after a facing a tough time in the form of theatre strike. Fortunately, all the films that have hit the screens post the strike seem to be performing well. For Instance Prithviraj’s horror flick Ezra has set new records by becoming the first Malayalam cinema which got maximum releasing centres outside Kerala. Ezra was released in 157 centres.
Along with that, the film got released in America, where it got 37 centres and Canada with 17 release centres. Interestingly, Ezra became the first Indian movie which managed to reach the theatres in France after Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur. Yet another record set by Ezra that it is the first Malayalam movie getting release in Ukraine.
