IFFI movies come to Kochi
Those who have missed the best feature films at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa, can watch them in Kochi this month. Three best films of IFFI — Body, Enclave, and The Fencer — will be screened at the CAC Auditorium, IS Press Road, Ernakulam on the first, second and third Friday of March.
Directed by Malgorzata Szumowska, Body, which was released in 2015, talks about the life of Olga, who is anorexic and her father who worries that Olga might try to harm herself. It will be screened on March 4.
Enclave, directed by Goran Radovanovic, will be shown on March 11. The movie, which is set against the backdrop of the war-torn Kosovo, narrates the story of Nenad, a ten-year-old Christian boy from a Serbian enclave who crosses the enemy lines and makes friends with the Muslim majority area.
The Finnish film The Fencer, directed by Klaus Haro, based on a real life story, observes the life of a young Estonian fencer named Endel and his return to his homeland. The Fencer will be screened on March 18. The show will begin at 6.30 pm. Entry is free.
