‘Metro In Dino Felt Like A Homecoming’
Kokana Sen Sharma talks of her emotional connect with the film

Actress Konkana Sen Sharma answered questions from the media about her connect with the film Metro In Dino, and her experiences while working on it, at the launch event of the song ‘Zamaana Lagega’ from the project
Did the movie feel like a homecoming to you?
It was definitely a homecoming. I was so happy when Anurag (Basu) called me. It’s so nice to meet people who have a playful attitude towards life. I have unfathomable admiration for his craft, and I knew I could have loads of fun while doing the project. I just have to trust him, I don’t need to worry about anything else.
What do you feel about this song ‘Zamaana lagega’?
I had heard the song earlier, but watching it now brought tears to my eyes. A character's feelings and emotions are not only for the actor to bring out – the director and music also bring them out to a great extent. Additionally, I got to work with Pankaj for the first time, which was so much fun.
Did you miss Irrfan Khan while working on the film?
There were so many moments when we missed Irrfan during the shoot of the film. It will take a lifetime to forget him. We missed him especially while shooting certain scenes, but I don’t want to go into details. You will recognize them when you watch the film. Today, let’s just celebrate.
For the unversed, the late actor Irrfan Khan was part of Life in the Metro (2007), the first film in the franchise. The current, second part, Metro In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu, features an ensemble cast and is scheduled for release on July 4.
