Actor Manchu Manoj got emotional as he thanked fans for their unwavering support throughout his career. “It has been nine years since my last release, but you have stood by me all this time. I’m truly grateful for your love,” he said, recalling some of his popular films like Bindass, Current Theega, and Potugadu.
He also addressed fans’ requests on social media, urging him to return to films. “A couple of my projects were dropped during the lockdown. I was waiting for the right script. Thanks to the director Vijay Kanakamedla of Bhairavam for offering me a role that will be remembered,” he added.
Manoj opened up about his struggles, saying, “When some of my family members have distanced themselves, it’s my fans who have come closer. I even tell my wife, Mounika, proudly that my true family is my fans. Director Vijay has become like a blood relative to me.”
Taking a veiled dig at his brother, actor Manchu Vishnu, he remarked, “Merely shouting 'Sivayya'—a dialogue from Kannappa—won’t make God appear. God shows up in the form of producers and directors if you have true devotion in your heart.”
He also admitted going through a rough patch. “I’ve been under stress for months. I was left without support—my family and children were put out on the roads, and even my cars were taken away. But I hold no anger towards anyone regarding the legal issues I’ve faced.”
Despite the hardships, Manoj reaffirmed his identity. “No matter what, I will always remain Mohan Babu’s son. That can never change. He taught me to stand for honesty and righteousness, and I won’t compromise on that. To me, he is both God and mother.”
