Madhavi Latha files complaint against JC Prabhakar Reddy with MAA

Telugu actress Madhavi Latha claimed to have been going through a lot of pain and anguish for the last few weeks and now has complained to the Telugu Movie Artistes Association (MAA) against veteran politician JC Prabhakar Reddy.

‘There is a lot of pain in my heart,’ says Madhavi Latha and adds, “I have complained with the Human Rights Commission and Women Commission and now I have come to the actors’ guild,” she adds. “I am annoyed and depressed with the derogatory comments made against me by senior politician Prabhakar Reddy. He has demeaned actors and cast aspersions on actresses who are out of work almost equating them with prostitutes which is objectionable and highly condemnable,’ she lamented and adds, “I have always put up videos to support women who are subjected to harassment or insults, she adds

She claimed that Prabhakar Reddy has no respect for women and actresses. “He believes that actresses make a living by indulging in prostitution and don’t know anything else to do. Even in his apology video, he repeated those derogatory and shameful remarks without any remorse and regrets and showcased his cheap mindset,” she adds. She claims that she is not doing films now and doing a respectable job in Bengaluru. “But he intentionally dragged my name and made nasty comments,” she adds.
She thanked MAA president Vishnu Manchu and office-bearers Shiva Balaji and Madala Ravi who agreed to receive a complaint and initiate action. “I have known Shiva Balajii and Ravi Garu for more than 15 years but they checked the by-laws before accepting my complaint. Finally, the film industry would be condemning the remarks by Prabhakar Reddy. Earlier, I have made a few comments against the industry too, yet they believed that Madhavi Latha may be harsh but spoke the truth and treated me like an industry girl,” she concluded.
