Actor Vijay’s Jana Nayagan has been trending on social media. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on July 23, 2026, leaving only a few days before it hits the screen. Jana Nayagan is a remake of Bhagavanth Kesari (Telugu).
Directed by H. Vinoth, the filmmaker mentioned in an interview that it is an 80 percent remake, while the remaining 20 percent of the scenes were added by actor Vijay. He also revealed that Vijay directed a post-climax sequence featuring filmmakers Lokesh Kanagaraj, Atlee Kumar, and Nelson Dilipkumar.
He added that he was not sure whether those scenes would still be relevant now that the elections are over. It remains to be seen whether the audience will get to watch the directors' cameos in Jana Nayagan.
