Suriya and Nayanthara Set for Independence Day Box Office Face-Off
Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan are producing Hi under their Rowdy Pictures banner, alongside SS Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio and Zee Studios.
With each passing day, the Independence Day weekend clash is growing bigger as several big-budget movies line up for release. Suriya’s Vishwanath and Sons is slated for a theatrical release on August 14, 2026. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film's teaser has received a thumping response from all quarters.
Nayanthara’s Hi has also joined the race, with the team announcing that the film will be released on the same date, August 14, 2026. Directed by Vishnu Edavan, the movie features Nayanthara and Kavin in the lead roles.
The film's ensemble cast includes Bhagyaraj, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Prabhu, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan, Amrutha Srinivasan, Adithya Kathir, Kureshi, FEFSI Vijayan, Kaavya Arivumani, and Mirchi Kemy. The music is composed by Jen Martin.
