Karuppu Faces Release Issues; RJ Balaji Reacts to Last-Minute Hurdles

Actors Suriya and Trisha Krishnan are awaiting the release of Karuppu, a film that has been making headlines ahead of its grand debut. However, the movie has run into problems before its release. The film team informed the public that early shows were cancelled, much to the disappointment of fans.
Producer SR Prabu took to X in the early hours of May 14 to apologize to audiences for the sudden cancellation. Sharing an update regarding the "unavoidable reasons" behind the delay, he wrote, "Due to unavoidable reasons 9am shows will be cancelled for Karuppu. Our sincere apologies to everyone!"
Director and actor RJ Balaji also spoke about the last-minute hurdles, stating that the producers are trying to resolve the issues before the official release.
Talking about the problems faced by the film over the last 32 months, RJ Balaji wrote, "Dearest fans, I don't have a concrete answer to the current situation. Producers are doing their best to solve the hurdles. This film has always had hurdles, and somehow God has made us sail through all that and here we are after 32 months. This time as well, I have faith, complete faith, in Him."
Suriya fans are protesting and asking the production house to share updates, as well as to release the movie smoothly without further delay.
