Kamal Haasan To Join Rajinikanth On ‘KH×RK’ Starting December
Some Kollywood insiders suggested that Red Giant Movies was finding it difficult to mount the ambitious project on a massive scale.
Director Nelson Dilipkumar is reportedly planning to begin shooting for the much-anticipated KH×RK, featuring Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth, in November, with Kamal expected to join the sets in December.
According to Chennai sources, Nelson has informed both stars that he is ready to commence shooting in November. “He has informed the respective stars that he is ready to commence shooting from November,” says a source, adding that Kamal Haasan is expected to join the shoot in December.
The latest development comes amid growing curiosity surrounding the project, which marks the much-awaited reunion of the two veteran stars. The announcement promo, released a few months ago, went viral on social media and generated massive expectations.
However, the project has remained silent on the update front for several months, triggering speculation that it had been shelved. Some Kollywood insiders suggested that Red Giant Movies was finding it difficult to mount the ambitious project on a massive scale.
The reported success of Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has now reignited hopes of the film moving forward. Trade circles have speculated that Sun Pictures could take over the project, given its association with Rajinikanth and the financial prospects of the venture.
There has also been speculation about the project's production plans following political developments in Tamil Nadu and questions surrounding Red Giant Movies’ involvement. However, neither the production house nor the filmmakers have officially confirmed any change in the project's status.
