Jana Nayagan Crosses Rs 100 Crore in TN as Vijay Sets a New Record

Director H. Vinoth’s action drama Jana Nayagan, starring Vijay and Pooja Hegde, has achieved major box office success after its theatrical release on July 23, 2026. Despite facing an online leak in April prior to its release, the film quickly surpassed Rs 250 crore at the worldwide box office.
In Tamil Nadu, the film crossed the prestigious Rs 100 crore gross mark, making it Vijay’s ninth consecutive movie to accomplish this feat in the state. The previous eight films in his career to achieve a Rs 100 crore Tamil Nadu gross are Theri, Mersal, Sarkar, Bigil, Master, Beast, Varisu, and Leo.
So, every single film of Vijay since 2016 has grossed the one-billion mark in his home turn.
