However, it looks like the makers are planning to shift the release date to avoid a clash with Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, which is slated for release on October 15. Social media buzz suggests that when Dhanush and the team of Om reached out to Netflix to discuss postponing the film, the streaming platform reportedly did not agree. Netflix wants the movie released on October 16 as planned, as they have already locked in the post-theatrical streaming window for a month later.
Dhanush and the Om team are heading to Mumbai to hold discussions about rescheduling the streaming slot. If Netflix does not agree to the deal, the makers may proceed with releasing the movie as planned on October 16.
