Actress Sunaina Warns of Legal Action Over Obscene AI-Generated Video
In a statement shared on Instagram, Sunaina made it clear that she had no connection with the video and condemned the violation of her privacy and dignity

Tamil actress Sunaina, known for her Telugu films Something Special and Pagale Vennela, has strongly objected to an alleged AI-generated video that uses her face in obscene content. The video is reportedly being circulated on social media and other online platforms without her permission, prompting the actress to speak out against the misuse of her identity.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Sunaina made it clear that she had no connection with the video and condemned the violation of her privacy and dignity. Calling the incident a form of sexual harassment, she warned that those responsible would have to face the legal consequences of their actions.
The actress also made it clear that she would pursue criminal and civil action against anyone involved in creating, uploading, forwarding or reposting the video. She urged the platforms and accounts carrying the content to take it down immediately. Her statement referred to the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
Sunaina has also appealed to fans and the public not to share the video and to report it if they come across it online.
The incident has once again raised concerns about the misuse of artificial intelligence to create fake sexual content involving real people. While deepfake technology is becoming increasingly accessible, cases like this highlight the serious consequences it can have for a person's privacy and reputation. Sharing such content, even without having created it, can only add to the harm suffered by the person targeted.
