Ganesh speaks up for women

On the career front, Ganesh is essaying the lead in a thriller directed by noted writer and actor Yugi Sethu.

At a time when big actors like Vijay are speaking about women’s empowerment in their films (Bigil), here is Ganesh Venkatraman, who has not only voiced this while hosting an action reality show for women but has also taken a new avatar in real life.

The actor, who supports women’s causes through his social media handle, has turned a motivational speaker in real life and has lectured in 25 women’s colleges and also addressed the corporate sector in the state.

“Thanks to my stint in Bigg Boss reality show, my personality was established and I was given the ‘gentleman’ tag. I got wide appreciation from various quarters for my genuine and credible behaviour. That paved the way for many to approach me asking me to deliver speeches on topics like motivation and leadership,” the actor tells DC.

He is something of a fitness freak too. His “no-nonsense actor” label fetched him the reality show Action Superstar, an adventure show featuring 12 girls, which has also given him enormous popularity.

“Not just being a host and performing the script given to me, I personally motivate the girls to break their inner fears and help them use bitter past experiences and channel those emotional energies in the tasks they have to perform. The show involves them facing different obstacles along its course,” the Unnaipol Oruvan actor asserts. Post this ongoing show, Ganesh became a public speaker much sought after.

With the arrival of his little daughter Samaira, he says that the responsibility of being a ‘role model’ has assumed greater proportions. “I want to be protective about my 4- month-old daughter and at the same time nurture fearlessness in her as she grows (smiles).”

On the career front, Ganesh is essaying the lead in a thriller directed by noted writer and actor Yugi Sethu. The first schedule has been completed in London.

In Telugu, he is acting in Srinivas Reddy’s Ragulo 24 Gandalo.

The actor has also bagged the Tamil version of popular web series Crime Patrol.

“Having made my presence felt in cinema, TV and digital medium, I feel I am in good phase of my life,” Ganesh says in signing off happily.
