Aathmika had a dream debut with Hip Hop Adhi’s debut directorial Meesaya Murukku. The film hit the right chord and was a success among youngsters.
The talented actress has now landed a prominent role in Karthick Naren’s Naragasooran which stars Arvind Swami, Sundeep Kishan, Indrajith Sukumaran and Shriya Saran in significant roles.
In a casual chat, Aathmika shares that she is fortunate to have gotten a big offer for her second film itself. “It’s a performance-oriented role and I’m glad that Karthick saw potential in me. Recently, I got a call from the Naragasooran team and after an audition, I was selected for the role. It is a suspense drama — and to share screen space with a seasoned actor like Arvind Swami is a dream-come-true for me. It is an unique script with no songs.”
The shooting of Naragasooran will go on floors on September 16 in Ooty. “The entire film will be shot in and around Ooty as the story demands such a backdrop. Arvind Swami sir will join the sets in the second schedule which would commence sometime in October. Coming to Aathmika’s inclusion, she plays one of the female leads alongside Shriya Saran,” adds director Karthick Naren.”
