Nayanthara and Arya have teamed up for Boss Engira Bhaskaran and Raja Rani earlier, both of which turned out to be huge blockbusters. Now, according to sources, Nayanthara is the front-runner for Arya’s next movie, which is to be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ameer. The movie is tentatively titled Sandhana Devan and is reportedly a period drama with an international connection.
When DC contacted Arya, who is shooting in a forest area for his upcoming flick Kadamban under Raghavan’s direction, the excited actor confirmed that he is indeed joining hands with Ameer. When asked about the genre, the Naan Kadavul actor was not too willing to spill the beans. However, he said, “The film is set in a rural environment. I can’t reveal any other information at this point. I have given my nod to act in Ameer sir’s movie. I have no idea about the speculated title as well.”
We hear that you are going to romance Nayanthara for the third time in this movie. — “Really? It’s news to me! I am here in a dense forest, busy shooting for Kadamban. The mobile signal is very weak and I’m hardly in touch with anyone. Moreover, it is the job of the director to cast an apt female lead (smiles).”
But, a close source to the unit reveals that Nayan is unlikely to be brought on board as Ameer, like Bala, tends to take a long time for shooting, and the Maya girl may not allocate so many days and get tied down for one film. Watch this space for more details on the film!
