Jyothika's gesture of gratitude

The actress handpicked gifts to give to the crew of the film Kaatrin Mozhi.

Actress Jyothika, who plays the protagonist in Kaatrin Mozhi, the Tamil remake of the film Tumhari Sulu, wrapped up her one-schedule film shoot on a rather lovely note. On their last day on set, she surprised the crew with handpicked gifts.

Sources reveal that the seven chief technicians of the film each received an expensive watch, and the remaining 120-odd crew members received a set of clothes that included silk sarees personally chosen by the Chandramukhi star and dhotis.

Reportedly, Jyothika remarked that the KM team was the best one she’d ever worked with. She thanked everyone for their efforts, and for making the shoot a pleasant and enjoyable experience for her.

Kaatrin Mozhi is a romantic comedy produced by Dhananjeyan that features Jyothika, Vidaarth, Lakshmi Manchu, Kumaravel, M.S.Bhaskar, Manobala, Uma Padmanabhan, Mohan Raman, as well as Simbu in an interesting cameo. Director Radha Mohan is said to have tweaked the story a bit and diverged from the original to better suit south Indian sensibilities.

A.H. Kaashif, who is A.R. Rahman’s nephew, has scored the music for the film, and Madhan Karky has penned the lyrics. The makers have announced that the film will hit silver screens on October 18.
