Popular dance choreographer Baba Bhaskar, is all set to wield the megaphone with his maiden directorial, Kuppathu Raja. He has roped in actors GV Prakash and Parthiepan to play the lead roles in this commercial entertainer.
Speaking to DC from the sets of Kuppathu Raja, Parthiepan says, “I am excited to be part of this project and this is the first time I am sharing screen space with GV. There is a huge slum set that has been erected and I was astounded seeing the magnanimous set-up. I have the confidence that this will be a big film for both of us.”
The Koditta Idangalai Nirapuga director says that his relationship with GV Prakash goes back a long way.
“GV and his wife Saindhavi, sang a duet for my film Kathai Thirakaithai Vasanam Iyakkam. Since then we have been good friends. On the first day of shoot, GV said, ‘Instead of being directed by you, we have got the chance to team up like this!” he adds.
The film commenced in the city, yesterday with a formal pooja. Other details about the cast and crew will be announced in a couple of days.
