Arya, one of Kollywood’s longstanding eligible bachelors, is to tie the knot now. He is getting hitched to his heartthrob and actress Sayeesha Saigal, who made her Tamil debut with Vanamagan. The wedding is set to take place in Hyderabad on March 10.
Sayeesha is the grandniece of the legendary Bollywood couple Dileep Kumar and Saira Babu. She made her Hindi debut with Ajay Devgan film Shivaay.
Sources close to the couple reveal that 38-year-old Arya and 21-year-old Sayeesha became close friends ever since they acted together in Ghajinikanth. And after becoming part of the KV Anand- Suriya movie Kaappan, the duo spent a lot of time in locales abroad where a major chunk of the film was shot, which is when they decided to take their relationship to the next level.
A unit hand present at the shoot says Sayeesha’s mother Shaneen Banu, who normally accompanies her daughter to shoots, was seen regularly greeting Arya with warm hospitality, which also suggested that there was something going on between the two actors Arya and Sayeesha.
One may recall that Arya also participated in a television matchmaking reality show titled Enga Veettu Mappillai. The programme was promoted to find him a match but the actor declined to marry any of the finalists for reasons best known to him. He has found a match in the sprightly actress Sayeesha now.
