Dhanush made an impressive directorial debut with a family drama, Pa Paandi, which was a poignant story on self-exploration of a 60-year-old man, essayed by Raj Kiran. Besides garnering good reviews from critics, the movie did decently at the box-office. Though rumours had it that he would do a sequel to Pa Paandi, Dhanush has announced his next directorial venture, which will be bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films.
Dhanush tweeted, “As speculated, my next directorial venture will be with Sri Thenandal Films. Will also be playing the lead actor (sic).” The Aadukalam actor will play the lead role in this spectacular larger-than-life opus apart from wielding the megaphone. This would be his 37th project as an actor. Though all other details are under wraps, the actor and makers maintain that more updates on the film would be out in 2018. Our sources reveal that it will be an intense drama and has a pre-independence connect to it. Buzz is that the actor is meticulously working on the research part of it and planning to commence the film in mid 2018.
