Prasanna, who has been off the radar after Netru Indru in 2014, has now come back with a promising line-up of projects. The actor has Kaalakoothu, Nibunan, and Susi Ganesan’s Thiruttu Payale 2 in his bag. Recently, the actor revealed that he has signed Mysskin’s Thupparivaalan starring Vishal, Tamannaah, and Vadivelu. Co-incidentally, Thiruttu Payale 2 and Thupparivaalan are his second films with directors Susi Ganesan and Mysskin, respectively.
In a casual chat, Prasanna reveals, “After Pisaasu, Mysskin and I were discussing the sequel to Anjathey. Since then, Mysskin has become busy with other commitments and there were budget constraints for the sequel. Mysskin never wanted to compromise on quality, so he said that we would keep Anjathey 2 for later. He then called me one day saying that he had started writing a script and that I would play an interesting role in it. That is how Thupparivaalan happened.”
When asked about his role in Thupparivaalan, he responds in an instant. “To clear the air, I am not playing the villain. I can’t reveal anything about my character right now, but I will be there in majority of the scenes.”
Prasanna gets nostalgic when we talk about Susi Ganesan. “He is the one who introduced me to the industry with 5 Star. Ironically, I am playing the villain in his upcoming film Thiruttu Payale 2, which has Bobby Simhaa playing the lead.”
The Azhagiya Theeye actor also has an untitled project with debutant director Suriya Prathap and another film with the Kanda Naal Mudhal director, Priya.
