Excited and scared as well: Ghibran
Music director Ghibran, who is busy scoring for a spate of films in Tamil and Telugu, is geared up to launch the album of Chennai Singapore. The six songs from the album will be unveiled in six different countries. Speaking about this exciting audio ride, Ghibran tells DC, “We are starting from Chennai on August 12 and are quite unsure when we would reach Singapore. Every time we reach a new country, our song will be released simultaneously on all online platforms — YouTube and iTunes. We will be covering Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.”
Vaadi Vaadi, an EDM pop song sung by singer Rajan Chellaiah from the US, will be launched when they kickstart their journey. The Ford Endeavour that has been custom-made for long journeys will be used for the ride, and Ghibran will be accompanied by director, cinematographer, driver and actor Subha on this. The Uttama Villain composer reveals that he is both excited and scared at the same time. Also, he confessed that his family is scared for him as they are embarking on a long travel.
The idea of releasing the songs in different countries was announced early this year. But, the team had to hold on due to visa issues. “Don’t remind me about it. Initially, we thought we could drive the car to all the countries. But, it is a difficult task. We made sure that the car has all the necessary documents and informed the arrival and departure dates to all the countries beforehand. Our first plan was to go to Bangladesh. Due to their strict visa guidelines, we had to re-route our trip to Bhutan.” Ghibran also adds that album of Chennai Singapore will be a surprise as well as a shock to his fans who follow his music.
The Thoongaavanam composer added that he is currently working on four Telugu films and three Tamil films. “I will be composing songs for my upcoming films during the journey,” he signs off.
