Trisha, the Queen'?
We had already reported that veteran actor-producer Thiagarajan acquired the remake rights of the Kangana Ranaut-starrer Queen, which will be remade in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Now the latest information DC has is that Trisha, who is busy with Nayagi and Mohini, has been approached to play the lead in the Tamil remake.
Rumours are abuzz that the Mambattiyan actor has asked bulk dates from the VTV actress for the shoot. If all goes well, she will be reprising Kangana’s role! However, official information on this is awaited. Queen is about the life of an innocent girl whose marriage gets called off, and how she reinvents herself on a trip to Paris and Amsterdam. Revathy, known for directing films like Mitr, My Friend, and Phir Milenge, will helm the untitled remake and Suhasini Mani Ratnam has been roped in to pen the dialogues for the project. The remake will be bankrolled by Thiagarajan.
