Namitha got spooked!
Namitha, who has been missing in action for a while, is back by essaying the protagonist in a supernatural horror thriller titled Miya. The film, which also has Sonia Agarwal and Veera, is directed by the duo Mathew Scaria and RL Ravi.
Speaking to DC, Namitha says, “This is my first horror movie and I have acted without any make-up. I believe in God and hence when I listened to the script, it sounded very interesting rather than intimidating. I have very few dialogues and I bring out everything through my expressions. The unit was extremely friendly — and only ten people were on the sets, which helped me give my best.”
Sharing a real-life supernatural encounter she encountered, Namitha says, “I was in Singapore for a show along with the staff. We checked into a hotel and when I stepped into my room, I felt uncomfortable. I didn’t want to jump to any conclusions and waited for a day before changing the room. That night, I had a dream where the lights wentoff and I saw a strange figure! Since I always chant Hanuman challisa, even in my dream I was doing that. I woke up suddenly and found all the lights on! The next morning, all those who heard the story were terrified, but I was not! I believe there’s a supreme power above us which will protect me.”
