Yesterday (28 Dec) being the last Friday of 2018 and only one small budget film got released, DC takes a look at the actor and actress who scored in the year acting in the maximum number of films.
Vijay Sethupathi surpassed other heroes with five films in 2018. He flicks include Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, Junga, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam , 96 and Seethakaathi. Vijay Sethupathi who started his career acting in small and insignificant roles came to limelight playing the lead hero in Thenmerkku Paruvakaattru released in 2010. And in the last 8 years, VSP touched the milestone 25 films mark with Seethakaathi.
It looks like he would in all probabilities top the list in 2019 as well. His Petta with Rajinikanth will hit the marquee on 10th Jan, which will be followed by Super Deluxe. The upcoming lineup includes Maamanithan, Idam Porul Eval, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in Telugu among others.
Among the actresses, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Chandini Tamilarasan are topping the charts with five film releases each in 2018.
Varalaxmi – Mr Chandramouli, Echchrikkai Idhu Manidhargal Nadamaadum Idam, Sandakozhi 2, Sarkar and Maari 2.
Chandini – Mannar Vahaiyara, Vanjagar Ulagam, Raja Ranguski, Billa Pandi and Vandi.
