With the much-awaited trailer of Petta was released on Friday, it looks like the film brings back the ‘Yesteryear mass avatar’ of Superstar once again and its time to get ‘Rajinified’. With his trademark punch lines and style quotient, the vintage Rajinikanth was truly mesmerising in the gangster film directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
While Rajini plays a gangster Kaali from Madurai, the actor will also reportedly be seen in a different dimension as that of a hostel warden, which has been confirmed by the makers in a dialogue in the teaser. And the name was enough for the fans of Thalaivar to go frenzy, thus making Petta and all new terms like ‘Get Rajinified’ to reach the top slot of the twitter trends. Similarly, some of the punch dialogues, which Rajini speaks in his inimitable style, are also going viral.
These include – Paarkathaane Porey Indha Kaaliyoda Aattathai (soon you would see Kaali’s real side).

To cash on the long holiday weekend, the makers have announced the release date as 10th of Jan 2019.
