We had earlier reported that Jayam Ravi will be acting under Sundar C’s direction in Sangamithra, which is said to be a historical venture. The film, being Sri Thenandal Film’s 100th project, is said to be made at a whopping budget. While several A -list actors like Suriya, Mahesh Babu and Vijay were considered for the film, it is Arya who bagged an important role. AR Rahman will be scoring the music for this film.
Thaman to score for Vikram!
Music director Thaman, who is currently working on Raghava Lawrence and Rithika Singh’s Shivalinga has been roped in to score the tunes for Vikram’s next film with director Vijay Chandar. Thaman and Vijay’s friendship goes back to their Vaalu days, as the former scored music for the STR-starrer as well. While Sai Pallavi is rumoured to play Vikram’s romantic interest, Telugu and Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan plays the villain.
