If he could bring Sunny Leone for an item-number for his earlier film Vadacurry, director Saravana Rajan, a former assistant of Venkat Prabhu has gone a step ahead and roped in an American Indian model/singer for his next flick RK Nagar, with Vaibhav Reddy.
Produced by Venkat Prabhu, the movie has Sana Althaf, who was last seen in the Mankatha director’s earlier film Chennai-28 II, as the female lead and ace Sampath, a regular in VP’s films in a crucial role.
Talking to DC, Venkat Prabhu confirmed that they needed a fresh face for a special song to be shot in Bangkok. “She is an American born Indian girl named Sangeetha Ramalingan who is also a popular singer. We are canning two songs in an exotic island near Pattaya and the unit will be leaving in a few days time.”
Ask him whether the film will be a political satire, he says, “Not really! It’s a
fun-filled entertainer, with a tinge of politics.” His brother Premgi Amaren will be seen as a music composer and not a comic actor in RK Nagar.
