State minister for Information and Publicity Kadambur Raju hailed Chocolate, the child awareness short film, which revolves around child abuse and has a social message.
The short film features cinematographer turned actor Natraj, Gayathri, Tejaswini and Deekshala as the lead actors. At the promo meet of the film, Kadambur Raju said, “I watched Chocolate . Inspired from a real life incident that took place in the city, the makers have come out with this film, which is an eye-opener to parents as well as people in the society. They should continue giving more such films with socially relevant subjects.”
The actor insisted that children should be taught sex education in schools. “Apart from educating in the school, parents should also teach their children about sex and sexuality. It’s all about awareness and once they understand, things will change.”
Produced by Kavitha, the short is directed by debutant Lavanya Nanci and has music by Ghibran. Bhavatharini has sung a number. Isari Ganesh, RV Udhayakumar, Sai Dhanshika among others graced the occasion.
