It is raining sequels in Tamil cinema, and the latest filmmaker to join the bandwagon is Mohan Raja. On Tuesday, the acclaimed director officially announced, through a rather interesting video that he would be making a sequel to his blockbuster movie Thani Oruvan, with his brother Jayam Ravi playing the protagonist.
“Today is August 28, 2018, as all of you know, it’s the 3rd year anniversary of Thani Oruvan, and it feels so good. With all your support and love, you increase the value of Thani Oruvan with each passing year. The movie was a big blessing in my life. At this moment, I would like to thank the entire team that worked on the film, and I also thank the people who showed so much of love towards the film. And I have good news for you. I am announcing my next project - it’s Thani Oruvan 2,” Raja said. And Ravi chimed in, “I am the hero and we are making Thani Oruvan 2.”
