Director Ameer went off the radar after his film Aadhi Bhagavan bombed at the box office. However, the Paruthiveeran director is all set to bounce back with a film and has actor Arya on-board for the project.
A source close to the film’s unit says, “Ameer and Arya are doing a film together. The director is currently out of station scouting for locations.” The source further adds that the still-untitled film is currently in its nascent stage, and the supporting cast and crew are yet to be decided.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that the upcoming film will be an out-and-out rural entertainer and would be something like Ameer’s blockbuster film Paruthiveeran.
Yuvan Shankar Raja, a frequent player in Ameer’s films, is expected to join the crew and Arya himself will bankroll the film under his banner, The Show People.
Arya, who has only played urban roles, will don a rural character for the first time in the film. The Raja Rani actor, is currently busy wrapping up Kadamban, helmed by Raghavan.
