The speculation regarding Vijay 62 being a film with a strong political storyline is turning out to be true. The leaks of photo shoot going viral on social media had upset Thalapathy and the filmmaker. Now, the story seems to be unravelling in the leaked pictures of huge sets of the Murugadoss-directed movie.

The pictures from the sets where a major chunk of the film was shot show huge banners and cutouts erected for crucial sequences in the movie.  A giant cutout of Radha Ravi as the chief minister and another banner with words on the cutout suggesting Pala Karuppaiah (who also plays a politician) rejoining the party after revolting against it adorn the set.  It is easy to infer what the scene is all about, as it reminds us of an incident that took place in state politics a year ago.  It appears Vijay 62 deals not only with politics, but takes a dig at the current scenario in Tamil Nadu.

According to sources, the story goes like this —Vijay, who portrays a youth hailing from a farmer background, turns a crusader and saves the people from scheming politicians. Keerthi Suresh who is on a high after Mahanati has
teamed up with Vijay for the second time.

It is an open secret that Vijay also nurtures political ambitions like Rajini and Kamal and is using the film as a platform to propel his ideas. Besides, he has been meeting his fans from various areas, interacting with them and taking
pictures as well, like the Superstar did.
