It looks like Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is on a signing spree. With more than half a dozen films in her kitty, she recently signed a film titled Vargam opposite RK Suresh. The team is planning to wrap up the entire shoot in a couple of days. The latest addition to her film list is director Lingusamy’s Sandakozhi 2, which has Vishal as the hero. A source in the know tells us, “It is true that Varalaxmi has been roped in to essay an important character in the movie. However, I can’t divulge more information on her character at this point of time. Shooting of this project will commence sometime in July.”
It is unclear whether Varalaxmi plays the second lead or an antagonist in the sequel to the film of the same name. Currently, the pre-production is underway and the director is busy giving final touches to his script. A couple of months back, it was announced that actress Keerthy Suresh has been brought on board to play the female lead. After Anjaan, which came out in 2014, Lingusamy has been actively involved in producing films. The director currently has Sandakozhi 2 and an untitled Tamil-Telugu bilingual with Allu Arjun in the lead.
