Ace filmmaker Mahendran who made path breaking Tamil films like Mullum Malarum, Uthiri Pookkal and Johny and who returned as an actor in his second innings starting with Vijay starrer Theri was hospitalised on Thursday and in critical condition. His son John, also a filmmaker, took to Twitter and requested fans and industry people to pray for his speedy recovery.
Mahendran got busy in his late stint as an actor with movies like Nimir, Seethakathi, Mr Chandramouli and Rajini’s recent movie Petta and one may recall Rajini had said that he is his favourite filmmaker.
