Things can’t get bigger than this for the two-film-old Atlee, who made heads turn with the promotion of his first movie Raja Rani. Having given yet another blockbuster, Theri with Vijay this year, the young filmmaker is all set with his third venture for which he has once again roped in Ilayathalapathy. The new film reportedly has a working title — Theri II (although it is not a sequel to the earlier hit).
Several names have been considered for the female lead — and a production source confirms that Atlee has narrated the script and has taken the nod of two big heroines Samantha and Kajal Agarwal to romance Vijay.
Now the big buzz is that Jyothika, who quit films after her marriage to Suriya, and made a comeback with 36 Vayadhinile has been brought on board for a crucial role.
Interestingly, Jyothika teamed up with Vijay for two of his blockbuster flicks Kushi and Thirumalai. Now, a close source to the actress tells DC that it is indeed true that Atlee wanted her for a vital character in the film. He adds, “All the three stars will have equal footage and importance in the film. Also, Jyothika appears in a twist segment and her character will take the story forward.”
Even Kajal and Samantha have paired with Vijay twice earlier with the former in Thuppakki and Jilla, and latter in Kaththi and Theri.
