Ma Ka Pa Anand’s journey from being an RJ to an actor hasn’t been a bed of roses. His struggle to make it big in the industry is evident from his films. Now, the actor is looking forward to have his first ever Diwali release. Kadalai, in which he is paired opposite Aishwarya Rajesh, will lock horns with Dhanush’s Kodi and Karthi’s Kaashmora.
Talking about his role, Anand says, “I play a character named Manikam, who goes against his father’s will. This will be a proper family entertainer. Also, this is the first time my film is releasing on Diwali. I know there is heavy competition but I am extremely happy to see Kadalai release on an auspicious day.” Ma Ka Pa recalls that his co-stars have been very helpful while shooting. “Right from Aishwarya Rajesh to Ponvannan to John Vijay and Yogi Babu, they gave several inputs, making my job easier,” he adds.
The Navarasa Thilagam actor claims that dancing for romantic numbers was difficult. “There are two romantic songs and it was difficult for me to perform. Aishwarya was kind enough to share her experiences. With the choreographer and director Sagayasuresh’s help, I could pull it off,” he concludes.
