After Anegan’s good run at the box-office, director KV Anand announced that he would be helming his next film, featuring the unusual combination of Vijay Sethupathi and T Rajendar, alongside Madonna Sebastian as the lead female actor. The first schedule of this untitled movie was wrapped up and the team start their second schedule today.
In a candid chat with DC, KV Anand says, “We have completed 50 per cent of the film and the second schedule starts today at a lavish house in T Nagar. The sequences being shot in this schedule will feature Vijay Sethupathi and T Rajendar. In the first schedule, we shot their scenes separately.”
When we asked the cinematographer-turned-director about the characterisation of the main leads, he became tight-lipped. “Vijay Sethupathi and T Rajendar’s character will have both positive and negative shades. We will reveal the identity of the hero and villain only in the climax,” he reveals.
KV Anand is confident of wrapping up the film in October, and added that he will shoot a romantic number in South America. “In this song, you will finally get to see Vijay Sethupathi romancing Madonna and running around the trees,” he laughs.
The director also opines that he cannot categorise his films under any particular genre. “I don’t see any genre in my films. When we are making a commercial film, it needs to cater to people of all ages. So, my films will have every element in it,” he signs off.
