Rumours are abuzz that Suriya approached Ranjith after being impressed by Madras, starring his brother Karthi.

Filmmaker Pa Ranjith who’s awaiting the release of the Superstar-starrer Kabali, will be helming his next project with Suriya in the lead. The Madras director himself said this to reporters at the audio launch of the Telugu-dubbed version of Kabali in Hyderabad.
It seems that, after Suriya wraps up S-III (the third installment of the Singam franchise), the project will go on floors. Rumours are abuzz that Suriya approached Ranjith after being impressed by Madras, starring his brother Karthi.
If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, this project, touted to be an action drama, is likely to be produced by K Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green, who also produced Madras.
