Dhanush has been singing playback for a while now, and anything he sings becomes a hit. Be it Why This Kolaveri Di? from 3 or more recently Amma Amma from VIP. Now, Dhanush and Yuvan have come together for a song after a decade for Yakkai, which has Kreshna and Swathi in lead roles. Kuzhandhai Velappan directs the film.
The film has been in the making since 2013, experiencing delays due to unknown reasons. This song is said to be a highlight of this romantic entertainer. The song’s lyric goes Solli Tholaiyen Ma. Sources say that Yuvan approached Dhanush personally to sing it, as the latter is known to croon songs in an inimitable style. The actor took to Twitter to share a picture with Yuvan. He also said, “Sang for Yuvan Shankar Raja, the man who started it all for me.” One may recall that Dhanush recorded his first song Nattu Sarakku, for the film Pudhukottaiy ilirundhu Saravanan under Yuvan’s music.
Then he sang Enga Area Ulla Varadha in Pudhupettai. This is the third song for Dhanush in Yuvan’s composition and his first in another actor’s film.
Meanwhile, Dhanush has about five films in his kitty including the Hollywood project, The Fakir.
