Actor Shaan, who played the villain in the film Dora with Nayanthara has turned a filmmaker with a short titled Iyakki, which runs for 26 minutes and revolves around the predicaments faced by call taxi drivers.
“Often, the negative sides of call taxi drivers are being projected to the outside world. But there is a sad side to them too. They also have a family and work extra time to make the ends meet. The corporates also squeeze them but pay them less money. I did quite a bit of research as well. I myself turned a driver and made more than 500 trips to get hands-on experience,” Shaman reveals.
