Samudhrakani has been brought on board for a vital character in Ulle Veliye 2, but it is not a sequel to his earlier blockbuster with the same name, says the actor-director Parthiban. The 1993 film Ulle Veliye with Ilayaraja’s music had Aishwarya in the lead. Parthiban has confirmed actors like ‘Aadukalam’ Kishore, ‘Robo’ Shankar, Mamta Mohandas and MS Baskar for UV 2.
Meanwhile, the national award winner is excited about his crucial role in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s spy thriller Dhuruva Natchathiram which has Chiyaan Vikram in the lead. Sources say Parthiban has a major bearing in the script and Gautham has meticulously sculpted it. Yet another film he is looking forward is Selvaraghavan’s sequel to his earlier fantasy movie Aayiratthil Oruvan, where Parthiban’s performance won plaudits from critics. He had reportedly said that Selvah has finished writing the script for the AO sequel and will commence it soon. The actor is right now busy with his daughter Keerthana’s wedding scheduled for March 8.
