Mersal all set to beat Rajinikanth's Kabali and Enthiran at the Malaysian box office
Mumbai: Actor Vijay’s Diwali release Mersal is taking both domestic as well as International box office by storm. According to the latest report, Mersal has now entered the top 3 highest all time grossers at the Malaysian market. And the film’s achievement does not end here, it is all set to beat the lifetime collections of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali and Endhiran in the Malaysian market. With that Mersal is likely to take the top spot in this region. That’s definitely a big feat for Vijay’s film.
After breaking several big records set by previous movies, Mersal is expected to blow few more firework at box office, both in the domestic and overseas market. Currently, Rajinikanth‘s Kabali (Rs 19.29 crore) tops the box office charts in the Malaysian market, followed by Enthiran (Rs 14.98 crore) and Mersal (Rs 14.16 crore). Trade pundit Ramesh Bala revealed the latest figures on Twitter:
At the #Malaysia BO, #Mersal enters All-time Top 3
— Ramesh Bala (@rameshlaus) October 27, 2017
1. #Kabali - MYR 12,585,134
2. #Endhiran - MYR 9,773,086
3. #Mersal - MYR 9,240,747
On the related note, in our review, the film critic Anupama Subramanian wrote – “It is Vijay’s show all the way and he hasn’t disappointed his fans, playing perfectly to the gallery. Among the three Vijays it is Thalapathy who impresses a lot, with his flawless comic timing. The actor also proves his mettle in emotional scenes when he breaks down at the hospital. Samantha Akkineni as Tara and Kajal Agarwal as Anu Pallavi in extended cameos are the routine dumb Tamil screen heroines, and it is a slightly plump yet pretty looking Nithya Menen who steals the show with her alluring feat.”
We hope Mersal continues its winning streak at the box office all over.
