5G a film comprising 50 differently-abled artistes
Several differently-abled actors are usually stereotyped in comic roles in Indian cinema. Now, a new film titled 5G will have its entire cast of actors chosen from Film Industry Differently Abled Artistes Welfare Association (FIDAAWA), the first ever association dedicated to them in the world.
Rajabalaji, who is a differently challenged person is wielding the megaphone for this new venture. “It’s my dream to direct a movie and to integrate all the differently-abled people globally on humanitarian grounds. Luckily, several top actors, musicians, technicians and lyricists have endorsed their support for the movie and have agreed to be part of this film,” Balaji tells us.
About 50 disabled artistes including few of the known faces in Kollywood have been roped in to play different lead and supporting characters. The movie is scheduled to go on floors fittingly on December 3, which is celebrated as International Day of Disabled Persons.
