Trisha in 100 Degrees Celsius remake?
Remaking a Mollywood film seems to be the trend in Tamil cinema now. Having tasted success with the remake of Thattathin Marayatthu as Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai in Tamil recently, director Mithran Jawahar is once again going the same route. Grapevine has it that he plans to remake the 2014 woman-centric Malayalam hit, 100 Degree Celsius, which had five heroines — Shweta Menon, Meghna Raj, Bhama, Ananya and Haritha — in lead roles.
Based on real-life incidents, the movie revolved around the lives of five women — a housewife, banker, IT professional, TV reporter and a college student, and it was Malayalam cinema’s first two-part film.
Now, insiders reveal that Trisha is Mithran’s first choice for the main lead and talks are on with her. Raai Laxmi has already been roped in.
