Rakul Preet Singh, the much-sought-after Tollywood actress, is all set to make a comeback in K-Town with Vishal’s upcoming film Thupparivaalan. Touted to be a unique thriller, the film will be helmed by Mysskin. Though Rakul is not a new face in the Tamil film industry, her initial Tamil films failed to garner her recognition. She  acted in films like Puthagam and Yennamo Yedho, which didn’t fare well at the box-office.

When asked about her long break from K-town, the actor says, “To me, a film is a film and I do one because I have some inclination towards it. I got a good response for my initial Telugu films and got very busy there. That's the reason I couldn’t do anything in Tamil. Now, I hope I get the same recognition from the Tamil audience as well and I would like to work in many more Tamil movies.”

Rakul stars opposite Vishal for the first time in Thupparivaalan, which is all set to start rolling on September 14, according to a source close to the film's unit. The film's shooting will be confined to Chennai. The source further revealed that inspite of being a thriller, Thupparivaalan will have all the elements of an entertainer. The makers are yet to decide on the supporting cast of the thriller. Music director Arrol Corelli will be composing the tunes for the film.
