Azhagu Magan marks Azhagan Selva’s first independent venture.

Malayalam actress Malavika Wales, who grabbed eyeballs with her ghostly avatar in the serial Nandhini, has bagged her first Tamil film as the lead heroine. The film titled Azhagu Magan also has Arjun Udhay making his debut as a hero.

Azhagu Magan marks Azhagan Selva’s first independent venture. He has formerly assisted directors Karu Pazhaniappan and Kannan.

 

Talking about his film, Selva says, “Set in a rural milieu in interior south Tamil Nadu, the film revolves around four friends who have different backgrounds. The hero, who has no aim in life, falls for a girl and then a certain incident turns his life upside down. The rest of the story is about how he overcomes his problems.”

Malavika, who plays a village girl, and has plenty of scope to prove her talent, and James Vasanthan is in charge of the tunes.
